FAQs

Most patients benefit from a hygiene appointment every six months. However, if you have gum disease, dental implants or are more prone to plaque build-up, we may recommend more frequent visits.

Your hygienist will assess your oral health, remove plaque and tartar, polish your teeth where appropriate, provide personalised oral hygiene advice and discuss any concerns you may have.

Yes. Airflow is highly effective at removing many common surface stains caused by smoking, tea, coffee and red wine.

Airflow can clean more comfortably and reach areas that traditional polishing may miss. It is particularly effective at removing biofilm and surface staining.

No. Airflow removes external staining caused by tea, coffee, red wine and smoking, helping restore your teeth’s natural colour. It does not change the natural shade of your teeth like whitening treatment does.

Most patients begin to notice results within a few days, with full results usually achieved after one to three weeks depending on your starting shade and treatment plan.

Some patients experience temporary sensitivity during treatment, but this usually settles shortly after whitening is complete. We’ll advise you on how to minimise sensitivity if needed.

Professional whitening uses custom-made trays and clinically approved whitening gels, providing safer, more predictable and longer-lasting results than many shop-bought alternatives.
