Zero Tolerance Policy
ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
At Dakatra Ltd we value the safety and welfare of our staff as much as we do our patients. We do all that is within our ability to safeguard their wellbeing, not least by strictly enforcing the widely-accepted NHS rules on zero tolerance to abuse towards hard-working well-intentioned clinical, clerical, and managerial staff.
We vehemently support our staff to ensure they operate in an environment free from any threat or fear of abuse, violence, or any forms of aggression, be it physical, verbal or otherwise. In line with this policy, we do not accept or tolerate any behaviour deemed aggressive such as verbal abuse, harassment, discrimination, shouting, swearing, or offensive language for example, from anyone including patients, patients’ representatives, or any member of the public.
Anyone found to be displaying such behaviour will first be given a warning and if the unacceptable behaviour continues, will then immediately forfeit access to healthcare from our organisation. We may also choose to report the incident to the Police as required and provide evidence to support the information provided. Our phone calls may be recorded for monitoring purposes and our staff are asked to record any incidents deemed abusive and threatening to later use as evidence if necessary.
The overwhelming majority of our patients are kind, courteous, and appreciative of our care, and understand that at times we operate under pressured circumstances when delivering our much-needed expert services. We urge all that interact with us to follow this culture of respect during all forms of communication.
Thank you.
